William C. "Chief" Powers

I remember Bill (Billy as he was known by me) and thought he was the cutest guy to visit Reno Beach when I was a pre-teen. We owned a store (Craig's Grill & Grocery) and I would wait on him at the soda fountain where he always had this great smile. I would make time in my day to take a walk past his Uncle's cottage when I knew he was there. He certainly gave back to our community and his family should be very proud of his service. To Sue, Lori, Bill, Lynn my deepest condolences. Bill was like a dad to me. Your dad was the most kind hearted n loving man and one of a kind. He always knew how to make me laugh. I loved your dad. He may be gone, but not forgotten. Bonnie.

I've thought about your family many times over the years, mostly wondering how all of you were doing. Your parents were so sweet to me. I always felt welcomed in your home. My sincere sympathy to you in the loss of your dad. He was a good guy! Your old babysitter and neighbor.
