Born: Jan. 16, 1916; in Ballina County Mayo, Ireland
Died: Feb. 5, 2010; in New Berlin, Wis.

NEW BERLIN, Wis. – Peter Paul Kelly, 94, of New Berlin, formerly of Woodstock, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at his home in New Berlin surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 16, 1916, in Ballina County Mayo, Ireland to Patrick and Bridget (Ward) Kelly. He married Margaret Schnitz on May 10, 1952, in Oak Park.
He was a member of the McHenry County Farm Bureau. His passion for farming and tending to animals was exemplary to all who knew him. Although he enjoyed tending to the duties of farming, his greatest joy was spending time with his loving family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Kelly; two sons, James (Marilyn) Kelly of Woodstock and Peter (Kim) Kelly of Marengo; a daughter, Mary (Paul) Wild of New Berlin; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Erik) Evertsen, Abbi Kelly, Jake Kelly, Brian (Kelly Carpenter) Wild, Jeffery Wild, Peter Kelly III and Sherri Tometczak; two brothers, Michael Kelly of Chicago and William (Jeanne) Kelly of Niles; a sister, Winifred Kelly of Ballina, Ireland; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.
The visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral Mass is celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11 at the St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave., Woodstock. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in the form of Masses would be appreciated.
