Toni, so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Up until the past couple of years, he & I would meet at various ski resorts in Vermont to ski & catch up on news of our families.
I had many memorable moments talking politics, tennis, skiing & family with your Dad. He also helped me through the years with struggles I had.
Although we hadn't seen each other in the past few years, I will miss him.
My wife Lilian enjoyed his fascinating conversations when we would meet for dinner after skiing.
She joins me in sending our deepest sympathy to you and your family.

"Dewars Martini Straight up With A Twist of Lemon in a chilled Martini Glass with A Club Soda on the Side." -Doc
That's what he said.
This news has truly affected the deepest part of my soul. "Doc", as I called him in the West Village was a true mentor to me in my years living in New York City. A real friend. One of My only truest friends. He coached and guided me through my darkest days and rejoiced with me in my brighter happiest days. For me he was like a father. Whenever he walked in the lounge where I worked at the time he would always put a smile on my face even if the day was bad- His spirit, guidance and advice will stay with me always and I will never forget him. I am so sorry for your lost Toni Ann and family. Your father loved you strongly and the way he spoke about your relationship together reminded me of the relationship I carry with my dad. It was a strong motivator and it will be for the rest of my life. God Bless You Toni Ann and family and thank you for posting this.
Doc I will miss You A lot, I will miss our friendship. This is heartbreaking.

I am so sorry to read that Bill has passed away. I'd been trying to reach him since the summer, calling and writing. I have known him, loved him, and respected him, since I was a child. He was my father, Aaron Goldblatt's, best friend-how the two of them enjoyed their ski trips all over the world.
My heart goes out to his family and friends. Whenever he spoke about Toni, Hillary and Marissa, he beamed. He was a very, very special person.

I like to thank my father-in-law for all the emotional support and guidance that he gave to Hillary and all the visits he made to Chicago to interact with his granddaughter Marissa. He was a worldly gentleman. A bit of a dandy. A man who would jump on plane in the summer to go to Chile so he could ski in the Andes. He was a "cool dude". We will miss him.

I admired your dad very much for first being so accomplished as an African American with his professional attainment during a time when it took much grit, sacrifice and dedication during his times. Secondly, as always being so in tune with you and supporting your dreams and allowing you to grow and experience " by yourself " life and your development, but always being there in case you needed some support and not fall.

Dear Toni,
I was so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was a very dear person and always so helpful to me. My best memory is him coming to the Johnson Family Annual Christmas Party at my house. He loved to sing the carols and would always be willing to read the Night Before Christmas out loud for everyone. He will be missed and may he rest in peace. Love to you and Hillary.

My family and I had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Johnson, through our relationship with his daughter, Toni Ann, since the late 1980's. He was a kind and generous man, who always had a smile on his face every time I saw him. I will always remember the love he had for his family, especially Toni Ann.
On behalf of the Aponte Family, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the Johnson Family. I wish you peace, love and blessings during this difficult time. May we all be fortunate to live a life as full as he did, surrounded by the love of family and friends.
May God bless you always.
