ROBERT G. MALGADY

MALGADY--Robert G., age 51, a Montrose, NY resident, passed away on July 31, 2011. He was a former Professor at New York University, and currently a Professor of Educational Administration and Leadership at Touro College. Mr. Malgady was born in Newark, NJ on November 14, 1949, to George and Marie Calabrese Malgady. On June 20, 1986 he married Gerardita Colon in New York City. Among his many attributes, he also served as Associate Director of the Hispanic Research Center at Fordham University, Senior Research Associate at both Cornell-Weill Medical College, and Fordham University at Lincoln Center, and as visiting Professor at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Professor Malgady served on several Editorial Boards and National Panels. Among his many memberships were the American Psychological Association--Fellow, Division 45-Society for the Psychological Study of Ethnic Minority Issues, Fellow, Division 5-Measurement, Evaluation and Statistics, and also the American Orthopsyciatric Association Fellow. He was the recipient of many awards, honors and Citations. He has a multitude of publications in the areas of Cultural Diversity and Sensitivity, as well as Quantitative Research. Robert is survived by his wife, Gerardita, and two sons, Jason, and Jeffrey Malgady, all of Montrose. He was predeceased by his parents, and also a sister, Carol A. Foster.
