John was a good buddy. I have many good memories of John from the old Met Park days. I was so proud of him when he started working for the Tides and then ODU. He had a kind way about him and he will be missed. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

To the famiy of John, my prayers are with you. I thank the Lord for John's surrender to the Lord's calling on his life. He was a dedicated Christian and that is the most wonderful thing anyone can say about another. I was saddened to hear that John has passed away. A friend called me last night to tell me. I have not seen John in many years, but I will never forget the good times we all had growing up together on Cape Henry Avenue. My thoughts go out to his family, and may he rest in peace. John will be missed so much by all. My husband Scott Woolard and I will be forever grateful for John when he helped and sat by our sons side, Scotty during our tragic time while at the hunt club. SL, Scott and Scotty have nothing but wonderful things to say about him. You are all in our prayers.
