Alphonso Ciavirella Obituary
Alphonso proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and later worked as a regional manager in property management. He loved to play cards at the senior center and was a huge football fan. Alphonso was also a dedicated member of San Rafael Catholic Parish.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Sherry) Ciavirella of Las Vegas, NV; Janice (William) Kessler of San Diego, CA; Alphonso (Connie) Ciavirella III of Menifee, CA; John (Nancy) Ciavirella of New Jersey and Madelynn McNulty of San Diego, CA; sister, Lillian Denaro of Philadelphia, PA; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline, and son, Joseph.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at 10am at San Rafael Catholic Church,17252 Bernardo Center Dr., San Diego, CA 92128. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Riverside National Cemetery.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105, or San Rafael Catholic Church, 17252 Bernardo Center Dr., San Diego, CA 92128.
