Kyle Van Camp, 25, of Madison and formerly of Freedom, WI passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 29, 2014. He was born April 25, 1988, son of Lee and Lisa (Zwiers) Van Camp.

Kyle graduated from Freedom High School, Class of 2006, where he excelled in wrestling and placed at the state tournament. He then attended UW-Lacrosse where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in sports management. Kyle enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting skeet, working for the Madison Mallards, and being favorite uncle to his nephews.

Kyle could put a smile on anyone's face and somehow lit up every room he walked into. He certainly lived life to the fullest and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Everybody loved Kyle.

He is lovingly survived by his parents, Lee and Lisa Van Camp; a brother, Matt (Danielle) Van Camp, and their children, Kaeden and Jordy; a sister, Sarah Van Camp; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Ursula Zwiers; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Dolores Van Camp; a very special cousin, Ryan "Rocky" Vosters; aunts and uncles: John (Jeananne) Zwiers, Scott (Diane) Zwiers, Mary (Tom) Wisneski, Michelle (Pete) Leschisin, Susan Van Camp and Charlie Sheppard, Carol (Dave "Fuzzy") Vosters, Wayne (Carol) Van Camp, Mary (John) Van Deraa, Peggy (Elmer) Eiting, Lynn (Tom) Van Zeeland, Patty Van Stralen, Barb (Dave) Strick, Dawn Van Camp and Paul Blair, Brad (Carol) Van Camp, and many cousins and close friends.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon, Friday, April 4, 2014, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, W2037 County Road S, Freedom, with Fr. Dan Felton officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, 101 Canal Street, Little Chute, and again on Friday directly at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. I met Skip when he moved to Madison in the fall of 2011. We were roommates and worked together. Whether it was binge watching shows on Netflix, listening to music, causing trouble on the weekends, or playing with his beloved lizard, we always had a good time. That smile of his could always light up the room. He was a genuine good person, who sincerely cared about others.

With both of us being night, owls we shared a lot of good conversations until 3,4, or 5 in the morning on weeknights. I'll always cherish those talks. He always knew how to make my girlfriend and I laugh in spite of our splitting headaches and droopy eyes on those Sunday mornings after Badger game days. Granted, none of us actually got up until 3 or 4.

The world's a better place because Skip was here. Be easy, Skip.

I met Skip at UWL and we instantly became friends due to his magnetic personality and infectious laugh. When I think of all of the great memories we have had over the years I can't help but remember the type of person that he was. His respect and kindness shown towards other can be attributed to the great family that he comes from. He touched the lives of so many people and my thoughts and prayers are with the Van Camp family and his many friends.

He always grinned from ear to ear talking about them. Truly a good guy. Our deepist sympathy.
