On July 14, 2014, Richard D. Bauman, age 59, of Spring Hill. Father of Craig (Nicole) Bauman, Kurt and Eric Bauman; brother of Robert (Ruth) Bauman and Christine (Mitch Hoburg) Washburn; brother-in-law of Beverly Bauman; grandfather of Kensi Lorraine Bauman. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Lorraine Bauman; and his brothers, Wayne and Michael Bauman. Friends received Wednesday, July 16, 2014, from 4-9 p.m. at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Highway. Memorial Service will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kensi's Education Fund.

I will always remember the notes and flowers left on all the girls' desks at TMD with a sweet note and all the goodies he made and brought in. Also all the pleasant evenings Jon and I spent with Rick cooking out at Bird's house in the summer. We will miss him. He was such a kind and generous person.

I am shocked and sadden at a life gone too soon. I bave fond memories of Mr. Bauman volunteering at Spring Hill Elementary. He was always willing to lend a hand that usually including tons of laughs. He worked in the school garden, the annual Haunted House,and the Read- Over.My life is richer for having known and loved Mr. Bauman!!
