PHILIP MARIN Obituary
PHILIP S.
Born September 28, 1928, in Monessen, PA, to the late Philip and Helen (Zoretich) Marinkovich. After the loss of his beloved wife, Virginia "Ginny" in 1979, Phil lovingly raised their five children, Beth (Tim) Conboy, Amy Marin (Joe Hines), Laurie (Dan) Buker, Nan (Rich) Cardamone, and Phil (Mimi); he was the proud grandfather of Ryan, Cole, and Sean Conboy, Jason Hummel, Josh, Kyle, and Connor Buker, Nick and Anna Cardamone, and Maddie and Jack Marin. His family was the light of his life and his greatest joy was celebrating the milestones and successes of his grandchildren. Phil is survived by two brothers, Tom and Milan Marinkovich; and two sisters, Helen Crynik and Florence Marinkovich. Phil was a World War II Air Force veteran, an engineering graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, a 1978 U.S. Congressional Fellow, and a nuclear engineer and manager for 42 years with Westinghouse.
