SCOTT B.
Age 53, of Gibsonia, Richland Township, died on Monday, September 8, 2014. Born on May 22, 1961, in Wellsboro, PA, he is the son of Bradley and Ruby (Skinner) Rice of Knoxville, PA. Beloved husband for 28 years of Cynthia (Pierce) Rice; loving father of Rob (Katie) Rice of Annapolis, MD, Jaimie Rice of Gibsonia, Kristyn Rice of Brighton Heights, and Jonathan Rice of Gibsonia; also survived by his beloved Chocolate Labrador Retriever, Harley; brother of Kevin (Johnna) Rice of Knoxville, PA and Grant (Lisa) Rice of Del Rio, TX. A graduate of Clarion University, Scott was Vice President and Corporate Business Development Manager for KTA-Tator, Inc., where he worked for over 20 years. A man of strong Christian faith, he was a devoted and active member of Bakerstown United Methodist Church. Scott loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar, spending time outdoors birding and walking, was a wonderful storyteller, a teacher at heart, and was a skilled handyman around the house. Above everything, Scott loved being with his family and was simply the best husband and father anyone could ask for. He will be deeply missed by many friends, neighbors, and family. Family will welcome friends on Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, LTD., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, PA 15007. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Bakestown United Methodist Church, 5760 William Flynn Hwy., Gibsonia, PA 15044. Rev. Dennis Swineford, officiating. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the "Scott B. Rice Family Memorial Fund" may be sent to KTA for deposit into the account. The address is: Scott B.
