I know its been a few years since Jack passed away. I just found out as I was thinking about my friends when I was in the Womens Army Corps. as of May, 1965. I was stationed at Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas when I met Jack. We were there at the same time. I was a Medic and he was with Special Forces and taking his Medical training as well. There was a group of us who became good friends back then and as Army Buddues we were all close. Being in the Military isnt as it is in regular life. It was War time
during Vietnam. So, you learn a comradary like none other.
I was transferred to Ft. Dix, N.J. and Jack went to Ft. Bragg, NC before shipping out to Vietnam.
I often wondered about a Jack and how his life was going as I always thought a lot of him as a great friend. He did manage to come and visit me before he left for Nam. I never saw him again. Im much older now so Ive tried to locate some of my old Army Buddies lately. I did a Google search of Jack and saw his Obituary. I love as surprised to say the least. Jack was a good man with a great heart and a wonderful sense of humor! He was liked by all who met him.
My condolences go out to his family even to this late date of finding out about his passing.
