ROY SADLER Obituary

Roy Sadler 1919 ~ 2009 Roy Sadler, age 89, our beloved and respected father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, continued his eternal progression on August 29, 2009, as he joined his eternal companion, Mary Ellen Sadler, for a long awaited date. Roy was born December 20, 1919 in Draper, Utah the son of George Rodway and Alice Mae Priestley Sadler. He married his eternal companion, Mary Ellen Gentry, on November 2, 1943 in the St. George LDS Temple. Mary preceded him in death on January 3, 2005. Roy enjoyed working in the Salt Lake and Jordan River LDS Temples and he served an LDS Temple Mission to the Chicago LDS Temple with his wife, Mary. Roy's family is very important to him and he loves them dearly. Survivors: daughters, Jean Reading and her husband, Robin, Draper /Bluffdale; Diane Palmer Pasner, California; 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Alice Mae Ballard, Arvilla Mitchell, Don Sadler, Raymond Sadler. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bluffdale West LDS Building, 14662 South 3200 West. A viewing will be held at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State, on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Draper City Cemetery. The family expresses sincere appreciation to Bristol Hospice, with special thanks to Natalie and Deb.

I also love this man very much. He will be missed. I find my joy knowing he is now with Aunt Mary and all the rest of the family.What a part they must be having.

Uncle Roy,
One of the things I admired most about you is that you loved your wife so much. I never say you argue. You were a patient and kind man. I always thought you looked like Bob Hope. Silly huh? So glad you can now be with your sweet MaryEllen. Love ya, Dayna Gai (Gentry) McArthur
