Dear mike, I will miss you more than I can say. You were like the brother I never had. I just wish we had more time, you will be missed. I will always remember the times we did have though, they are among my best memories. You were a great person, and an incredible example of what a freind should be. My heart goes out to Laura, Avery and your family. I cant imagine there loss, considering the way you impacted my life in the short time we had together as friends. I will miss you broham...

Michael was a good friend and co worker here at Polyseal. We lost contact when he left the company. It was a shock to hear that he passed away. My heart goes out to his family. My prayers are with you.

Dear Michael,
As I read these letters to you and your family this evening, I think of Thomas Campbell's quote in "Hallowed Ground":
"To live in hearts we leave behind
Is not to die."
If I were to complete my own thoughts I would add Emily Dickinson's quote:
"Unable are the loved to die. For love is immortality."
Michael, you will never die for those who will hold you in their hearts forever. Laura and Avery, your parents, your siblings, your many extended family, friends, and loved ones. You will never be able to erase the imprint left on this earth by your life. Your dearest loved ones will carry it forward for you in living their own lives around the spot that now feels empty. But, we know, that when you are able to visit, you will come and stand by your Laura's side, hold your Avery's hand, and guide your loving family with the spirit you will be able to bring to them in your second life. May you have the peace in heaven your soul deserves. My deepest love and sympathy to you and your family.

Our family is sorry for your loss, we know Vickie as our cousin and Matt and Laura through her. We know our Lord will be with Laura and Avery during this very hard time. May God bless the Petersen family and extended family at this time and help us understand the eternal plan of life and become more like our Heavenly Father full of Love and Kindness towards one another. Michael-- I did not know you. I did know your parents very well. If they are any indication, then you are a superb human being. I am so sorry that you had to leave us here on Earth so soon, but, it seems you had a more important job to take care of somewhere else. Now, you can look over your entire family all the time and be the guardian angel full time that I suspect you were here. To your Grandmother, Vicki, I am so sorry. I will get in touch with you soon. To your parents, Matt and Laura, I don't know what to say. And you know that I am never short on words. Just know that I am here if you need anything. To your Laura and your beautiful baby Avery, Michael will watch you everyday and protect you. I know that the prayers will continue for all of you from not only myself, but the hundreds if not thousands of people who love all of you. Again, I am so sorry that you are all going through this.

My thoughts go out to your family especially Laura & Avery I can only imagine what you are going through. if you need me I am always around to lend an ear. I am going to miss Mike so much he was an amazing friend from the first day I met him. This comes as so much of a shock I know that you and avery were everything to him his face would light up anytime he talked about you, i know he will be watching over you. He will always be in our hearts.

Dear Michael,
There is not enough words to say how much you mean to me. You were the light of my life, my joys, and my dreams. As your Grandmother, I had the right to brag about you to anyone I could get to listen. How handsome, loving, sweet, funny,I could go on and on and I did.
Michael, you were blessed with a family that loves you. You have the best of the best as a Father and Mother, and I have never seen siblings that enjoyed each other more.
You and Laura blessed us with that beautiful little Avery. What a joy to us all. And Laura, what a great lady...always at your side, no matter what. My heart aches for her. May God bless and keep your little family. We promise to always be there for them, to love and help them anyway we can. They are such a part of our family, we love them so much.
I know,in my heart, you are in the arms of God and have found the peace you need, but you will always remain with us,in our hearts.

Mike,
You were such a good friend all through school. I have thought about you numerous times over the years. It breaks my heart to hear what happened. You were such a big teddy bear and ALWAYS had a smile on your face. I just went through some pictures from jr high and found some of you. Brought a tear to my eye. You will be missed by many Mike.
My condolences go out to not only your family, but your fiancé and your child. They were sure lucky to have you.
