As a parent who dropped off and picked up children at Gould for years, Ms. Ransom's smiling presence and warm greetings to me and my children truly made a difference in our school days. May God comfort you.

To the family of Deborah Ransom: I was so sorry to learn of Deborah's passing. Deborah and I worked together, at times, over the past few years. We saw each other often at Gould or Butler Elementary. At other times, we worked closely together during the process of transferring students from the PSI Program into the Orthopedically Impaired Program. Deborah always had a smile or comment in passing to brighten your day. She was a wonderful teacher and advocate for her students. She will be missed. May God bring you comfort and strength during this difficult time.

I will always remember what you did for my brother Marece Alexander Mitchell. My mother, Rozenia {Green-Parker} Mitchell said that she remembered when you were born. She will never for get you and how you handled Marece when he decided to be difficult. You are always in our thoughts. We love you Debbie.

To The Ransom Family:
I was sad to hear of Debbie's passing. I know she's in a better place no more suffering and pain. Just remember, God will not put no more on you than you can bear. Debbie and I went from Jr.-Sr. High school together. She was a sweet person with a pleasing personality. At our last Savannah High Class '71' meeting, she had us rolling with jokes as always. I will miss her. So family just remember we know you loved her but God loves her best and called her home for rest.

We can't comprehend just how sad you must feel for the loss of someone you love. This sorrowful time must still feel unreal and you're looking for strength from above.

Debbie will be missed. She kept me laughing when we went to Cambridge College and I considered her a true friend. She made the experience in Graduate School worthwhile. She always gave me advice and encouragment. She was a down to earth woman (and I appreciated that characteristic she exemplified). I was always uplifted by her humorous spirit.

My prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. I had the opportunity of working with Ransom at Gould. Ransom was truley one of a kind. I often called her the chief. It was not no job at the school Ransom would not do, she was the teacher,the counselor,the data clark,the party organizer,the mentour and last but not least the cafteria assisited. She would really be missed by many.

To The Ransom Family;
To know Debbie was to Love her. She was such a great joy of life. She enjoyed every moment of it. Just continue to pray and ask God for strength as you adjust to living on earth without her. However, keep in mind that she will always be looking down at you, just don't fall down too hard when she gives you a nudge and smile from above. Her family, the children she came in contact with and taught, co-workers and world wide friends were very special to her. Please continue to sprend love and care as she did. Words cannot not express the feeling of knowing that Debbie is no longer here. I take comfort in knowing that I will see her again. She always encouraged me to further my education. I know that I will always be indebted to her for encouraging me in a variety of areas and accepting me always. She has inspired me to seek education and teach the world. I’ll forever cherish the laughs and talks we had at W. W. Law. I definitely count it a blessing to have known this wonderful woman. I've watched her raise for her daughter and care for her family. My next step is to "Pay it forward" - do for someone what Debbie did for me.

To Debrorah's family:
I will always remember Ransom as a veteran teacher with her own unique outlook on our profession. She did everything with gusto, whether it was her morning position on bus duty or as the lead teacher for the Mentor/Mentee program. Ransom was a social butterfly who loved entertaining others. She would be first in line volunteering to provide refreshments for any gathering. True to herself, Debra never held back when it was time for her to express her opinion. But it was her gift of humor rivaling any stand-up comedian that mended fences. She knew how to interject humor into any situation and keep the staff entertained.
This school term she has been sorely missed at Gould. My prayer was always for her recovery. Yes, she will truly be missed.
Ms. Ivy, my prayer now is that you will remind strong in the power of God's love.
