To The Family Of "Bill" Pierce:
I was indeed saddened to hear of the death of Pierce. I met Pierce when I began my postal career in 1969. That was a time when being in a different craft (I was a Letter Carrier)set up mischievous practical jokes between the two crafts. After work we would gather and "hash" out the day's happenings. Even though I was a carrier, I learned quite a bit of "Post Office" from Pierce and the other guys that preceded me in employment there. One of the cardinal rules that govern longevity in the post office and practiced as well as taught by Pierce and the others:"You, work the work, don' let the work work you" ! That rule was evident in his tenure as a clerk. During my 42 years, I "touched bases" with Pierce periodically and he was just as solid and unchangeable from day one. My wife had the privilege/pleasure of working with "Mr P" (as she called him)up until his death. I can say with a certainty that no one can say anything bad about Pierce with truth ! Everyone loved the guy,he was just that kind of person. I know that he will surely be missed, so we encourage the family to maintain faith in the resurrection hope put in place by Jehovah God through means of His Only Begotten Son, Jesus. As this will certainly provide comfort and support as you weather the storm of this system.
Our Deepest Sympathy,

Mr. P was a fine man who will certainly be missed by his family of postal workers. He was a hard-working man, who always had a smile or a laugh to share. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to each member of his family. May God be with you at this time of sorrow.
