Beatrice Challiss Laws died on March 10, 2020, at home with her sons James Challiss Laws and John Muir Laws. Beatsie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who gave to her family and community with passion, patience, wisdom, and strength. She was born on August 2, 1927, in Los Angeles California, the daughter of John Van Hoesen Challiss and Beatrice Ward Challiss. Growing up with her sister Catharine, she attended Los Angeles High School, spending her summers as a camp counselor. I was so sorry to read about the passing of your mother. I am sending my deepest condolences in memory of my parents Lin & Anne Griffith. They had many delightful visits with your parents at their home and at all the Stanford Law School reunions over the years. One of the highlights of the last reunion my dad was able to attend in 2012 was being able to chat with your parents. Please know that my parents thought the world of your mother. Ellen Griffith
