James Barry Obituary

WEYMOUTH James P. Barry, a union carpenter, died at home in Weymouth on Sunday, January 25, 2009. He was 51 years of age. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Dorchester before moving to Quincy and graduating from North Quincy High School in 1976. James was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #33 and worked as a carpenter in the greater Boston area his entire working life. He was also a Boston sports fan. He is survived by his daughters Jenise M. Barry and Jessica J. Barry both of Weymouth, his father Alvin R. Barry , Sr. of Braintree, a brother Alvin R. Barry , Jr. of Scituate, a sister Jeanne M. Barry-Lydon of Weymouth, his former wife Jeanette T. (Foye) Barry of Weymouth and granddaughters Payton Barry and Eliana Powell. James was the son of the late Estelle R. (Johnson) Barry. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in the St. Francis Xavier Church, South Weymouth on Friday, January 30 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Jenise and Jessica, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. I know he meant so much to you. I have great memories of him making us laugh so much when we were kids! I'm gonna miss him. My deepest sympathy to Jeanette, Jenise, Jessica and the rest of the Barry Family. Jimmy was one of my best friends when we were young. He was so funny and always had me laughing. I have so many great memories, especially when I hear certain songs he used to sing. I will miss him dearly.
