James Shelton Obituary

Shelton, James Wesley Passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at his home in O 'Fallon, Missouri. Born Oct. 19, 1934 in St. Louis to Charles and Martha (née Duncan) Shelton. Jim was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran and local Cabinet Maker in the St. Louis area for over forty years. He is survived by his wife Shirley (née Koenig); sons Mark (Elaine) and Paul (Tobi), step-daughter Kim (Don) Callahan; step-son Doug Murphy; sister-in-law Norma Shelton and first wife Shirley (née Kallmeyer) Smith. Preceded in death by his parents, 2 infant sons David and Robert, brother Charles (Curt) Shelton, step-daughter Jill Slack (nee Highfill), grandfather to 3, Greg, Lauren and Ryan (Shelbey), stepgrandfather to Angela, Kyle and Chad, great-grandfather to Olivia. Services: A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 19th, at 11:00 a.m. At St. Johns's U.C.C. At 405 South 5th Street, St. Charles, Missouri.

Dear Dad ,

You were a great man &you were my rock & you helped so many people with different services such as carpenterie work or cabinet work or auto mechanic or fixing doors and installing doors.You are also a very friendly,very caring ,very loving father,understanding, hardworking,also thanks for being there for me &helping me&for accepting me for me &taking me in ¬ misjudging me.You are number #1 You will always be missed &loved &you will never be forgotten either.

Dear Jim,
You were my carpenter, plumber, sons auto mechanic but most of all my dear friend. You helped so many people by offering your many services.

I sincerely believe that the world was a better place because you were in it. Rest in peace, you will be greatly missed.
