Marcelino Bustos Obituary
Dr. Marcelino M. Bustos, 55, passed away peacefully at his home in Fairfield on Wednesday, Oct. 12, surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Juan.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Dolores, and their three children; Dolores Fatima, Mark John and Joseph Marion, He is also survived by his mother, Macaria; and his nine siblings, Florencio, Orlando, Venancio Sr., Renato, Concepcion, Arturo, Marilyn, Cezar and Cynthia.
Dr. Bustos, or Bon as he was known to family and friends, was born in Macabebe, Philippines on May 20, 1956, to Juan and Macaria Bustos, the eighth of 10 children. He graduated with a degree in dentistry and later started his practice in Vallejo, where he worked for more than 20 years serving the community.
Dr. Bustos was a kind, generous and loving man, beloved by his family and friends. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2005 and, after fighting for six years, succumbed to his disease. He will be greatly missed by all.
Viewings will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 22 and Oct. 23, at Colonial Chapels, 1000 Redwood Street, Vallejo. The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 925 Sacramento St., Vallejo.

Dr. Bustos has been our dentist since we moved to Vallejo 20 years ago.
We will remember him for his kindness and patience. I just learned about his passing today from my former officemate and facebook friend since we are in the Philippines now. He was a brave man, he fought till the end.
To his family, we are sending our sincerest condolences. He is now with God.

We were deeply saddened to hear about the sudden demise of koya Bambon . We sincerely feel most deeply for you in this sad hour of bereavement. The loss is too severe to be expressed in words, but being human we have to accept God’s will.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
We admired Kuya Bambon for his strength of character and his faith in God,his humility and genourousity... We will continue to be inspired by the actions he took and the things he said while he was alive. He will live in our memories forever..
