James Pearce Obituary
James D. Pearce, age 85, passed away on Thursday, January, 15, 2015.
Beloved husband of 52 years to Gloria nee Gorski; loving father of Donald (Penny) Pearce and Richard (Deanne) Pearce; cherished grandfather of Emily and Grace Pearce; dear brother-in-law of Lyle Angus and John Gorski; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Esther Pearce nee French; and siblings, Dorothy (Evert) Sterling, Hazel Angus, Mildred (Earl) Peters, Herbert (Sheila) Pearce, Robert (Olive) Pearce, Eugene (Gerry) Pearce, and George (Sue) Pearce.
Jim was a 44 year member of Pipefitters local 422 and 597. He owned Jim Pearce Well Drilling and drilled many wells in the area. Jim was also a member of the Joliet Antique Auto Club. He loved to work on antique cars, do woodworking, and taking care of his yard. Most of all he loved his family.
The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, and IL. 60451 on Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service Monday, January 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donation to the family would be appreciated.
