Lee was a great friend and business associate. As time went on, the business associate was in second place and the friendship was first and foremost. I was a supplier for him and worked with him in all his restaurants. He always treated my family with the utmost respect and friendship. My father in law still talks about Kodiak Jacks and that there will never be a restaurant like it again. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lee and Judy and the rest of the family.

Very sad to hear about this. Lee was a great owner and a father of sorts to all his employees. He always took care of us and pushed us hard to have high standards. Me and my wife met while working at KJs and we will always have fond memories of Lee and his wife. Youll be missed.

I met Lee through a mutual friend in 1990 and ever since I always considered Lee a caring and close friend. It never ceased to amaze me that regardless of how busy Lee was he would always take the time to come to my table to greet me and my guests when we visited his restaurant. Lee knew me as a frequent traveler and I can remember how pleased he was the time I told him how I rated his Wine Maker Supper Club as one of the best supper clubs for food and conversation I had ever visited. Lee made it that way and his drive for perfection and consistency continued through his other ventures. I know of no equal to Kodiak Jacks, a dream Lee told me he always wanted to fulfil. Lee, may you rest in peace, I will miss you.

I knew Lee since his days at winemaker. Sold him a lot of beer during all his time in business in Oshkosh. Recently at Kodiaks he noticed I had a hard time reading. Lee brought over to me a pair of cheaters. I still use them today. A little kindness that went a long way. Thank you Lee and rest in peace. God bless the family.

Lee was always kind to me as I did many years of business with him. He once noticed I was having a hard time reading numbers. He gave me a pair of reading glasses. Still use them today during work. A small gesture that went a long way. Thank you Lee and God bless the family.

Worked for Lee at the Winemaker and he always treated his customers and employees with a smile. He worked very hard but always ran a first class operation no matter what he had for a business. I remember we were setting up and getting ready for the lunch crowd and he hid a penny in our booths just to make sure we were cleaning our area and you better find the penny! My prayers go out to the family; hang on to the memories and let your friends and family help you threw this time of sorrow. I was glad to know him and his family!
