Mrs. Mary Jane (Humbert) Lear
Greencastle - Mrs. Mary Jane (Humbert) Lear, 88, of Greencastle, PA, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in Quincy Village Nursing Home, Waynesboro, PA.
Born November 1, 1932 in Big Cove Tannery, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Theodore and Virgie (Keefer) Humbert.
She married Roy W. Lear and they enjoyed 63 years together before Roy passed away in February 13, 2014.
Mrs. Lear was employed for 12 years at Sylvania Shoe Factory and then 23 years at Sheetz in Greencastle, retiring at the age of 73. She enjoyed going to yard sales looking for "treasures" in her free time.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Jones and her husband, Fred of Greencastle; one grandson, Jesse Pilkerton and his wife Stephanie of Clovis, CA and one great-granddaughter, Olivia; one sister, Nancy Barber of Warfordsburg, PA; a sister-in-law, Janet Humbert of Chambersburg, PA and several nieces.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, George Humbert.
Services and burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA at aspca.org.
