Gary Lucas Obituary

CAYCE - Funeral service for Mr. Gary Lee Lucas will be held at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia, SC, Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens, West Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 13, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. John Lastinger will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jack Porter, Chris Morris, Rock Goodale, David Gentry, Larry Gentry and Jim Buchanan.

Mr. Lucas, 51, born January 24, 1957, was the son of the late George Leroy Lucas and Jessie W. Lucas. He was a graduate of Airport High School and attended New Covenant Church.

Mr. Lucas was survived by his wife, Cathy J. Lucas; sister, Ann Baker and husband, Ray; niece, Laurie Goodale and husband, Rock; nephew, David Gentry and wife, Tracy; cousin, Russell Lentz; uncle and aunt, John Luther and Lessie W. Lentz; great-nieces and nephews, Christopher and Katie Goodale, Lauren Moore and Reagan and Hunter Gentry. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home at Southland is in charge of the arrangements.
