Joseph Iacovino Obituary

Joseph David Iacovino passed into the arms of the Lord Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Paoli Hospital in Chester County. He was 36 years old. Born in Norristown, Pa., on July 6, 1978, Joe was the second son born to Michelle M. (Cirrito) and Thomas K. Iacovino Jr.
"Joey" established his unique personality early on. Throughout his life he was known for his strength, both physical and of conviction. These qualities were evidenced by his ability to move the family's piano across a carpeted room single-handedly at the age of 9. Joe was known to be a man of his word, beginning with his vow not to learn to ride a two-wheeler until he was 6 after receiving the bike at age 5. Sure enough, on his sixth birthday, he hopped on and took off, later accusing his parents of not teaching him to use the brakes. The bike was 18 inches off the ground. Joe also exhibited great prowess in "keeping things tidy," from his bedroom to his cars, and ultimately to his wide assortment of athletic footwear. One always knew when Joe was expecting guests, as the scent of Windex overpowered anything delicious that may have been cooking in the kitchen. It was once a goal for Joe to enter the Guinness Book of World Records by owning and wearing out the most toy lawn mowers in the history of childhood, to which any neighbor will attest. Joe's passions involved sports, both as a spectator and as a participant. Involved in baseball and football programs during his school years, he developed the usual love/hate relationship with Philadelphia sports teams, and a solid devotion to Notre Dame football. He also rooted for the Green Bay Packers, feeling obligated to do so once Santa had provided the team's uniform one Christmas. His closet resembled a kiosk stocked by Modell's.
Joe was a devoted son, grandson, brother, friend, and in the end, a loving father. He was a proud member of the IBEW, Local #380/98.
In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by brothers Thomas M. (Melissa) and Steven C. Iacovino; paternal grandparents Mary and Thomas Iacovino, Sr.; favorite Little Man, Mason Londino; Jessica Iommi, the mother of his son; and last but not least, Aydan Joseph Iacovino, Joe's 9-month-old mini-me. He will be dearly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins and a wealth of both new and old friends. Deceased family members include maternal grandparents Lillian and Joseph Cirrito and Aunt Marissa Cirrito.
Family and friends are invited to attend Joe's Life Celebration at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. and again Tuesday, April 21, from 8:15-9:15 a.m. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at St. Patrick Church, 714 DeKalb St., Norristown, Pa. The Rev. Augustus C. Puleo will be the celebrant. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of your choice in Joe's memory.

Joe-

I needed this time, this place to express what I'm feeling.

Obviously, we miss you so much. Most times, our memories are comforting. Other times, they are not.

Are you happy in Heaven? Are you with Grandmom, Grandpop and Aunt Marissa? This is what Dad and I want to know. Along with the fact you didn't suffer when you passed.

Your little boy is adorable. He has just the right balance of sass and innocence. And, unfortunately, he has your temper. It breaks my heart your are not here to see him grow, to love him. Dad and I are doing
our best to fill in for you. You were right. He has Dad's head.

Rest in peace my darling and pray for us. Until we meet again.

With love-

Michelle,
We were sorry to hear about the loss of Joe. It seems so unfair that he died at such a young age. We experienced the same when our Frankie died at 37 years old. It is something that will stay with you the rest of your life. Please give our best to Tom and Tommy and Steven.

Sincerely,
Diane and Frank Lupo

Dear Family
We know how you are feeling with the loss of
your JOE. Having lost our JOE 8 years ago we still say no parent should have to bury their child. Our love and thoughts are with you and maybe the two cousins will meet in heaven. It is something we will, never get over but our love for them will remain with us always.
Love to all the family.
