Did not know of Dave's passing until today (1/26/2022). I am very sorry for your loss. Somebody mentioned something about a dog trainer, and that prompted me to see if he might still be in business.
We had Dave to the house to train our Golden. Dave spent a number of sessions with us on leash training. He was firm but never punished the dog. He also didn´t reward the dog with treats, just praise. In the end, Prima understood that we were the alpha dogs, and she would listen. Always came when called, stayed in control on the leash when she knew she had to. She was a great dog.
At some point near the end of our training, it became apparent that Dave wasn´t training the dog. He was training me how to train my dog. And for that, I am forever grateful.
Zack Baby Crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 18, 2019 I pray Dave met him there.

Sorry very sorry to hear this about Dave, I worked with his wife Denise and Dave did help with my Zack Baby when I first recused this crazy black lab mutt he would not listen he was like a crazy 15 yr old boy. Dave gave me a lot of tips and trained me on how to control this boy and he was one of the best dogs even, I still miss him daily. Denise and family, I am so very sorry I never heard about Dave becoming an ANGEL til this week and I am truly heartbroken. I send all my love and prayers to you all. As I know all too well this is something no one ever truly gets over. It is a pain that hurts daily. God Bless always your Friend Maggie

Dave Fait was a friend and had an utterly spectacular connection with dogs. We rescue and rehabilitate poodles and it was only through Dave's patient guidance, explanations and training that some very severely damaged dogs found their way to revive their inner puppy and find joy and happiness again. His methods were direct and, at times, tough but there was no question that his exacting guidance and instruction was based wholly on his intense compassion and desire to help these animals reach their full potential and live a happy life in concert with their human owners. One hour lessons often stretched into two without complaint and whenever you called, night or day, Dave would do his best to help. Dave's guidance has already transformed the latest member of our pack, Charlie, and I can tell you we will all, man and animal, deeply miss him. My sadness that his departure is tempered by the fact that he will be greeted enthusiastically by many whose lives he transformed, including our sweet girl Coco who left us one week ago and who was one of Dave's early students. The mold was broken when this man was made and I doubt I will ever meet another like him. The picture is of our 5 he trained. Rest in peace, Dave.
