We met in the second grade at Horace Mann Elementary, were college roommates then later had our offices together for thirty years in Fife! Never saw him angry in all that time!! Still miss him , he was a great friend!

Thanks to all who came out today to celebrate my dad. He would have loved it. Lots of good stories, laughs, reminiscing and rekindling of friendships. We even toasted him with a little Early Times and Water. Love you dad.

My heart goes out to Jerry; Sheri; Mark; Radine; Harli; Amanda; Vanessa; Ciara; Nick for the loss of her husband; their father and grandfather. I was lucky enough to know him with his daughter Sheri and spend time at Sounder games or family get togethers. You will be greatly missed and loved; please watch over all as a guardian angel since I know your soul went right up to heaven. I miss you Bob so very much..

Bob was a good man and a great neighbor. I enjoyed gazing down the hill and watching him head out for walks with O'Ryan during the past years. Jerry and his kids, grandkids and dog knew what a great guy he was, and my sympathy goes out to all of them.

Bob is gone but will never be forgotten by his many friends and family. It has only been three days but seems like forever. I miss him so much. We had 58 1/2 years together and it is going to be so hard going on without him. O'Ryan and I are taking it one day at a time. The poor dog keeps looking for him to come home with a lunch treat as he did each day. I am so thankful Bob had the kids here with him at his passing as the kids and grand kids were the loves of his life, and O'Ryan his faithful dog. He is pain free and hanging out with Dave Anderson and Bennie Erhart in heaven. Let the fun begin for them.

Bob will always and forever bring joy to my family. All I have to do is say "Bob" and "Maui" in the same sentence and everyone is smiling. He will be missed.❤

The best legacy of the man Bob Merriman was is in the ones he left behind. The reverence of his children and grandchildren speaks volumes. You had to get the important things right or that does not happen. He engaged in life with his family and it is evidenced in the love they have for him. About all you can ask for. RIP, Bob.

You always had a huge smile to share. I have SO many fantastic memories of growing up as part of your family. You made sure I always felt welcome. As an adult I look back and am amazed at how lucky I was to be included and loved by the Merriman family, as a child, I just knew where I wanted to be every chance I got. Thank you for loving me like one of your own. I am so thankful to know that I will see you again. Give Jesus a hug for me!

As I close in on my final chapters, I must acknowlege Bob's dignity with the illnesses one never knew he had. Always a friendly and contributing presence made him the right choice for company. Upon retrospection, I've come to classify most people as either givers or takers in life. Bob was solidly in the ranks of givers, the "Greatest Generation" indeed.
