James Brown Obituary

Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home

The true measure of a man is not what he acquires in his lifetime, but what he leaves behind.

James 'Jim' S. Brown, loving husband, father and brother, passed away Monday, January 28, 2008. Jim was born on November 3, 1935 in Powell, Wyoming. He attended and graduated from Prosser High School.

Jim met the love of his life in the second grade. He married Patricia L. Carroll in Prosser in 1955. Jim and Patty were happily married for 52 Years. Together, they raised four children.

Jim loved team roping, and country life. He loved more than anything to gather his family to have coffee around the kitchen table in the morning. Later in life, he looked forward to daily morning phone calls from his children.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Orpha Brown.

He leaves behind his loving family; wife, Patricia; four children, Gary Brown, Terry (Mary Ann) Brown, Joel Brown and Julie (Rodney) Anderson; brothers, Merlin (Lorene) and Charles (Norma) Brown; sister, Edna Gay Petersen; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Friday, February 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls, 314 W. 1st Ave. Kennewick, Washington.
