Alex Andru Mendoza 22, Born November 22, 1992 in Tucson, AZ, died January 9, 2015 in St Joseph's Hospital. He graduated from Eastpointe High and attended PCC. Survived by parents, Eduardo Mendoza and Catherine Morrow; brother, Neil Mendoza; niece, Cambria Mendoza; grandmothers, Jill Fuller and Susie Rough and cousins, Bridgette Fuller and Scotty Mogavero. Alex was tender hearted, spirited, humorous, and loved animals. He was passionate about baseball, chess, bowling, and magic cards. Alex had a strong aptitude to succeed at all tasks. Service will be at Christ Community Church, 7801 E. Kenyon Drive, Tucson, AZ, 85710, on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements by ANGEL VALLEY FUNERAL HOME.

It just ain't right to be taken from this world so soon. I can't even begin to imagine a feeling of such loss, but I know God has big plans for this amazing young man. I didn't know Alex personally but if he was anything like his father Eddie "The Mad Hatter" Mendoza, then he was a force to be reckoned with. From what I have been reading about Alex, he made others around him feel better about themselves with his positive, happy and loving ways, just like his Father!
If the secret to life is enjoying the passage of time and to love and be loved in return, then Alex nailed it. Well done young man. You have left your legacy and inspired so many in the past and will continue to inspire us in the future. Eddie, Aury, and Alex's entire family, we are with you in spirit and will never forget Alex.

To the friends and family of this wonderful young man:

I do wish there were words to put together to tell you how my heart hurts so very much for all of you. I did not personally know Alex, but his mom Cate was a great strength for me when we found that my daughter had cancer. I hope that I can be that for her. I know that right now it hurts so badly that it seems like it will never end. All I can say is remember the good times, sing the songs he loved, play the games he played and be glad you had him for as long as you did. (((((HUGS & tears)))))
