RIHTARIC, Ivan November 21, 1929 - July 27, 2010 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ivan. He was surrounded by the love of his wife Anna of 53 years, son Martin, daughters Annemarie, Kristina, son-in-law Nicola, grandchildren Samantha, Michael, also his beloved Bella, as well as family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated or a charity of your choice. Dad's remains will go back to his beloved homeland Slovania. We love you and you are in our hearts forever.

Ivan will always be remembered for his generosity and compassion. He was loved by everyone and will be sadly missed. Ivans family and friends will love him forever.

I am so sad that we had to say good bye to such a loving and wonderful man. Uncle Ivan was a sincere and devoted man. He loved his wife, children and everyone around him. He constantly told amazing stories from his past. I will miss your stories but will never forget. I will miss taking part in very meaningful political talks. Our society has truly lost a person with so much wisdom and common curitiousy to his fellow man. I would also like to thank you for all of your advocating for people's rights and unions.
Thank you Uncle Ivan for being a part of my life, my husband's life and baby Priya's life.

Annemarie and family, we were so sad to learn of your Dad's passing. Annemarie, we know how much your Dad meant to you. It was obvious how much you loved and adored him. You gave him the most wonderful gift a father could receive. The love you had for him was a testament to the kind of father he was - a loving family man. I hope in time you find some peace in the wonderful memories you and your family share. Take care of your Mom and take care of each other. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
