To the Clark family I to extend my deepest sympathy to all.
Dr. Clark has been my famlies OB/GYN doctor since 1955. He delieved two sisters, three nephews, two nieces. And for me he delivered a set of twin boys and a baby girl. My mother would not trust any other Dr. His beside manor for his patients was out of the ordinary. He would give you his direct number to call him if you had any complications during your pregnacy. He loved loved his family , work and patients in that order. When I had my twin boys and their baby sister he recommened his sister Dr. Harriett Clark to be their pediatricitian and like Dr. John Clark she took great intrest in thier development. I was very saden when they both retired.
The OB/GYN medical profession has lost the great J.C. (Jesus Christ) at Howard University Hospital.
HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED........

Dear Family of Dr. Clark,
I am privileged to say that I was trained by Dr. Clark and interned under him 30 years ago. What an honor it was. He was a legend to not only our department, but throughout this country! What a tremendous loss to all of us. Had I known about his passing, I would have certainly attended his homegoing. May God strengthen you at this time of deep loss and may the memories of his love and greatness comfort you always.
My deepest sympathies.

To the family: my deepest sympathies on the passing of a great man. I am thankful for the many hours John shared with me this past year. He was one of the most interesting men I've ever known. I have fond memories of John's playful humor, the telling of his unusual life experiences and all that I learned from him.

Where can I begin? Dr John FJ Clark was such a part of my family's life. I met him when I was in elementary school,(Mott), when I would stop by his office at the Freemen's Hospital to visit his Secretary, my aunt, Elsie Turner. He was always so kind and would ask about my schoolwork. He later delivered my youngest brother, and,my niece and three nephews. Through the years our paths crossed many times, as a teen I worked at Law's Texaco at Ga and W sts and gassed up his Vette. Through him so many have much to be thankful for, he trained so many OB's and how many saw the first light of day in his capable hands. Through my Aunt I met Alberta we are praying for you and the family. May God bless you all, Kent Gilmore and Family.

My deepest sympathy to family. I worked for Dr. Clark in 1968 at my very first job and retired ob-gyn 2001. He was a lovely person who loved his family first and foremost. He was such a wise human being and a pleasure to work for. I am very saddened that he is gone physically, but spiritually he will always be with here with us.
