Michele Najera Obituary
Survivors include her mother, Elida Mejia and her husband, Juan; her father, Daniel R. Cuellar; her children, Gene Kazhe and his wife, Angel, and Christopher Ford, all of Alamogordo, and Justin and Roxanne Ford of Truth or Consequences. Michele is also survived by her granddaughter, Lillyanna Kazhe of Alamogordo; grandparents, Nick and Pauline Cuellar of La Luz; sisters, Pauline Chavez of W.Va.; Candice Abalos of Ariz.; Claudia Orona of; numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m., Monday, March 22, 2010, at Our Lady of the Light Catholic church in La Luz by Deacon Don Dickman. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated immediately following the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. with Father Bruce Hausfeld.
Pallbearers include Felipe and Felipe Ray Abalos, Nick Cuellar, Ivan Muniz, Jacob Najera and Joseph Romero. Honorary pallbearers are Gene, Christopher, Justin, Roxanne, Lilly, Candice, Celso Jr., Felicia, Dominic, Angel and Troy.
Interment will follow the services at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Cemetery in La Luz.
The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.

To my sister, my friend you were always my safe haven. Its weird to know I will never hear your voice, your laugh. I found your phone number the other day and called it hoping to hear your voice mail, but it didn't happen. Know that I was there to send you to heaven. I brought West Virginia to you by that I mean I brought the darkest riches pretty dirt from the top of a beautiful mountain and lied it upon your casket. You couldn't make it to WV so I brought WV to you. I miss you so much that I cry everyday for you. Know that this year was the first year I didnt call you on your birthday, and it hurts that we didn't talk on that day. I do remember the last time I talked to you Jan.16, 2010...we laughed about Gene and Celso man wanting to play cowboys and Indians. Remember Geners wanted Celso to be the indian and he wanted to be the cowboy..funny! I got to meet your beautiful grand-daughter and you were right, Geners all over again, she is beautiful. I even miss your big leg lying over my skinny butt and calling mom to get your leg off me at night. I would do anything to feel that again. Thanks for being a great sister and aunt to my kids. Love you sister always and forever.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I saw Michele the other day in the store and we hugged and talked to her she was a very sweet lady. To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.

There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
