Dear Greg,
I always looked up to you during my years as a W.L.B./ Oceanport Shark. You had the unique combination of being tough as all hell, and charasmatic as could be possible. And knowing our Grandmothers ( Alta & Myra Van Dyke) were 1st cousins always made me feel lucky that I was related to you. I can still see your smile and shine in your eyes, although I have not seen you for so long. You've had more impact on me than you will ever know. I wish I could have expressed this to you when I had a chance to. Peace be with you, my cousin. My Thoughts and Prayers to all your family and loved ones.

George and Monica no bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you and your family as you grieve. Greg was a very unique person who would have given the shirt off his back for another, he was always good to put a smile on your face with his interesting sense of humor usually about himself. May god bless you and your family, you all have been in my thoughts and prayers during this extremely difficult time.

Sperling Family

My sorrow goes out to all of you-

My memories of Greg will always be of our youth, since that is when I left him to move away to California. A great person who gave me a going away party, a great athlete who was my wide reciever in Pop Warner, a great guy who would always make people happy and laughing- A guy who had a great family who I missed often after moving from Oceanport. He is one of my most endearing memories of my childhood and I will cherish those forever.

Rest in Peach Greg and comfort to all of you Sperling Family.

Sincerely,

Ray Sharabba

My dear cousin, in you I saw smiling eyes, deep affection and unique loyalty. Know that you've shared something of value with all of us. When I think about your life I won't dwell upon this chapter as you gave us good times to remember and, always, a big hug. I will recall those good times that we spent together at Driftwood, riding by the beach in the Jeep and the "bug", times spent on the boardwalk in Long Branch and memories of a family that loved you infinitely. You are a good soul with a kind heart. Rest in peace.

Greg was a favorite cousin to my brothers and sisters and me. We feel lucky to have so many good memories and so many stories of time spent with Greg, especially all the family parties and summers at Driftwood. Greg had a heart of gold. We are sure Greg and our Dad are now in Heaven sharing stories (and probably a toast.)
Rest in Peace, Greg.

I knew Greg when we went to Grammar School, and Middle School together in Oceanport. Greg was one of my best friends, and he was one of the first people I would think about when drive thru the old neighborhood. Rest in peace Greg.
