AGE: 85 • Lakewood
Peter J. Walsh, 85, of Lakewood passed away Friday April 14, 2017. Peter worked for the Jackson Township Board of Education for 27 years before retiring. Born in New Rochelle, NY, he resided in Mt. Vernon, NY and Jackson, NJ before moving to Lakewood 25 years ago. Peter served in the U.S Army during the Korean War. He was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Lake Church, Lakewood. Peter was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary C. in 2008. Peter is survived by his daughter, Mary Rivera and her husband, Ervin of Toms River, 2 sons, Peter of Tuckahoe, NY and Paul of Lakewood, 2 grandchildren, Brittany and Mackenzie Rivera. Visitation 10:30am-12:30pm Thursday April 20, 2017 at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Ave., Lakehurst. Interment to follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
