Heather Weaver Obituary
St. Cloud, MN - Heather J. (Duncan) Weaver, 54, of St. Cloud, Minn., died April 30, 2018, at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta, Minn., of complications from cancer of the trachea.
Memorial visitation with the family present will be 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Ave., Sioux Falls, SD.
Heather was born Aug. 19, 1963, in Sioux Falls to Noel F. Duncan and Patricia A. Duncan. She attended Mark Twain Elementary, Edison Junior High and graduated in 1981 from Washington High School. She earned an associate degree through National College in Sioux Falls and a bachelor of arts at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
Heather had worked at Citibank in Sioux Falls and in Las Vegas, in the law office of David Gienapp in Madison, and as a support technician in records for the Las Vegas and St. Cloud police departments.
She was an accomplished dancer, excelling in ballet. She taught dance at UNLV and in Madison and Freeman. Heather also volunteered at CASA in Sioux Falls as an advocate for abused and neglected children.
Heather married Edward H. Weaver on July 3, 1992, in Las Vegas.
Heather is survived by her husband, Edward, of St. Cloud; daughter Steffanie Weaver of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sons in the Marine Corps, Joseph (Xylene) Weaver of Hawaii and Sean (Lyndsey) Weaver of North Carolina; four grandchildren; her mother, Patricia Duncan, of Mesa, Ariz.; and two brothers, Patrick Duncan of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Andrew Duncan of Tempe, Ariz.
Heather was preceded in death by her father, Noel, and a sister, Moira Duncan.
Arrangements are through Miller Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.
No flowers, plants or other gifts. Instead, please consider a donation to the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society or the Tri-County Humane Society in St. Cloud.
