He was a Rotary Club member in Blair and Atlantic, a member of the Blair American Legion, on the board of directors for the Nebraska and South Dakota Jeweler's Association, and was the last original member of the Black Elk-Neihardt Park Board of Directors. Fritz loved God and was an active member of St. Mary's for 62 years.
Fritz loved people, and his greatest legacy was his love for his family and friends. Fritz is survived by his wife, Wilma, his sons and daughter-in-law, Frank (JoLynn) and Jon (Cheryl), and his daughter Retta (Ray Sheriff). He is also survived by grandsons: Matt, Jay, Steve, Jeremy, Victor, Dillon, Nolan, Patrick and granddaughter, Jennie Smoyer as well as 11 great-grandchildren and many loved cousins. I remember working at Wolff"s store in Atlantic when I was in High school back in 1977-1979. I loved black hills gold jewelry and he was never hesitant to teach me all I wanted to know about how it was made and the detailing in the designs. I have never looked at a piece of jewelry, with out hearing Fritz voice in my head even now! You were a big hearted man Fritz!
