My Dad, 2years ago Jesus called you home. I'm thankful to have witnessed you opening your eyes and looking up as if you were looking at the one who was calling your name-such a overwhelming peace . I miss and think of you every day-I look out window and think how you would enjoy looking at what I'm seeing. Children being dropped off for school, dogs being walked by their owners, cars driving too fast down the street. Squirrels scampering across the yard and up a tree. I remember when you were sitting in your chair by the patio door, the squirrel would come up to and look inside for you, waiting for scraps of bread, cookies to be tossed out for them to nibble on. Your eyes spoke volumes when your voice was quiet. A generous, loving, strong, gentle soft spoken spirit.
You are enveloped by the eternal love, comfort presence of Jesus now, never to feel loneliness or sadness. That brings me comfort.
I love you Dad

The year has passed, every day I think of you. Wishing I could have been with you more and done more for you. You never asked for anything until the last few days. Water. As I gave you little wipes, I was whispering in your ear about the living water that Jesus offers to all who ask and accept will never thirst no more.
I loved watching the old black and white western shows. I can't watch them now.
I love you Dad, I pray even though I would tell you that, that you believed it with all your heart-cause that's how I loved you-with all my heart

Dad, missing you, have we you looked forward to seeing your great-grandchildren, you never expressed emotion, I could see in you face and eyes how you loved them.
You always looked forward to leftovers. Brought a smile and laugh to me when Deb said you would make room in fridge for things. You had a love and concern for animals, feeding the squirrels and concerned the big dogs weren't outside enough. I miss you. I love you Dad
