She couldn't have been more than five or six. Her little white dress, the white ribbon in her platinum hair. She was Angelic and she wasn't just crying, she was sobbing. But of all the hundreds upon hundreds of friends that passed through that day,it was different with her.She was in the side part of the Chapel in a chair all alone. She would walk up to one of your many pictures , place her hand on your face and return to her chair and cry into her hands. She was showing me how we all felt that day.The frail little ladies , the older stronger tougher men who I am sure have endured much loss in their lives. We all felt as the little girl did . I don't know her name or who her parents were. I didn't see her again. I can promise you though that she will carry with her the memory that she and all of us have of you . You have made us all better men and women . "WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE GARDEN , ROSES DROP PETALS TO CUSHION THE FOOTSTEPS YOU TAKE." YOUR BROTHER ALWAYS, ROBERT

Mendy,
I am really sorry to hear about your husband. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your son. You probably don't remember me I am Chester and Dorothy Howie's granddaughter we all used to play together down in Campbell Hill many years ago. If there is anything we can do for you just let us know. Again our deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Tricia Bergin

March 15, 2008

My name is Tricia Bergin. I was Tom Eickelman's cousin. (He was only called Walter when he was much younger and in trouble by my Aunt and Uncle!). I waited outside that dark, numb night in Millstadt while both of our families and friends waited for the sad news. From the number of people who were also waiting that night, it is obvious that both Cousin Tom and Ron touched the lives of many people. My sincere sympathy is with your family as we both cope with this untimely death of our loved one.

Dear Mindy and Tater: As a longtime friend and schoolmate with Ronny I can tell you I never seen him as lit with joy as when he was in your presence. Its a natural reaction to want to hold on to the ones you love and never let go. Be strong God and all the buddies who love and miss him will help you.

Mendy and Tate, We love you and we hope that the memories of all your wonderful tiimes will give you the strength through this time. Know that Ronny willl always be with you in your hearts. He was one of the greatest men I have ever met. He just made everyone feel so good when he was around. We had some of our best times with you and there will still be more to come, as hard as that may seem right now. I will always remember Ronny as a wonderful husband, father, best friend, and the man that my husband wanted to be. Love, Eric, Adrienne, and Maggie

Mindy, Taylor and the rest of the Yankey family. We want you to know how sorry we are for your loss. Ron was a wonderful person and it was always a joy to see his happy face show up at the softball to be ready and so supportive of our children. He was always so full of compliments! That's what made him so special. He will be dearly missed by our family, but especially by Haley. He is not the only reason, but one of the very special reasons why Haley came back to play softball for the Southern Illinois Destroyers. We love you and will always be here for you. May God bless you and your family during this time.
