Lucas Kunz Obituary

Lucas John Kunz, 17, 4620 Sagebrush Drive, died Aug. 19, 1998, in Bismarck. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Cyprian Meier officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, and will continue at the church one hour before services. A vigil will begin at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Lucas was born Oct. 5, 1980, in Bismarck, the son of Tom and Jean (Reis) Kunz. Lucas grew up and attended school in Bismarck, and was currently attending Bismarck High School. He worked at the A.R.C. Thrift Store. Lucas enjoyed hunting and fishing, tubing and water skiing, and being at the lake. He loved spending time with his friends, his nephew, Noah, and his dog, Chuck. He will be loved and missed by all.

He is survived by his mom and stepdad, Jean and Jim Vetsch; his dad and stepmom, Thomas and Sandra Kunz; two brothers, Joshua and Matthew Kunz; two sisters, Amy Jo Kunz and Kristina Kunz, all of Bismarck; four stepbrothers, John Vetsch, Georgia, Jacob Vetsch and Matthew and Thomas Grad, all of Bismarck; one stepsister, Jennifer Niksch, Georgia; his grandparents, John and Bernie Reis, Bismarck, and Alex and Rebecca Bosch, Linton; and one special nephew, Noah Charles Kunz, Bismarck.

He will be missed and thought of by many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Albert Kunz; an infant nephew, Carter James Kunz; and a cousin, Ryan Bullinger.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
