Its been over 10 years since I had Mr. Bettano as a teacher, but to this day I still have many happy memories of him. He was a hard teacher to forget and is one of my favorites, if not my favorite.
One memory I have of him which really is multiple memories, is when he was in the process of moving to a new apartment in Boston. For math, he had us calculate his expenses and we even did his taxes at one point! It was a fun lesson and he even organized us in groups to do it. I hope he checked our math since my niece is about the age and I would not trust her with my taxes.
He would also make phone calls during this time at lunch to the bank as he was getting everything set up for his move. Well, every now and then the bank would call him during class, and everyone would yell "Illegal Phone Call!" One time the Principle was in the hallway while we yelled it! Luckily, I don't think she noticed since our class was always loud, but it scared Mr. Bettano pretty good.
I hope he had many good memories in that apartment of his and had as much fun with his other classes as he did with ours. He was a good man and a wonderful teacher. Rest in Peace Mr. Bettano.
