Dr. Lose was a wonderful bright light and generous soul - a smile always on his face. He was so kind to me at a challenging professional time. I feel blessed and lucky enough to have worked alongside him! Jane Zarzecki, Ph.D.

Dr Lose was one of my mentors as a psychiatric nurse. I once cared for him in the ICU when he was a patient, and many times rounded with him at the hospital at his usual rounds around 10 pm. He taught me so much and helped so many. Many pearls of his wisdom have been taught to so many of my patients and their families over the past 30 years. I am a better nurse because of him. I was lucky enough to sit next to Dr Lose at a lecture at the hospital after he came back to work again. He told me that he learned so much by being a patient with back problems and pain, that he had to practice again and integrate his own personal experience into helping people. He taught me that if a patient is really annoying you...
think about who he reminds you of.
He taught me that the text books will tell you that bankruptcy will blow a man out of the water....but having a child will more. So many things! So much dedication. So respectful to all of the nurses. Always. Thank you Dr Lose for all you did for so many! Thank you Mrs Lose for putting up with his crazy schedule when he was doing more than treating patients, but educating all of us. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

My condolences to you Barbara and children. Lots of good memories from the many years that my Aunt, Pam Minster worked for Dr. Lose. My sister, Cocoa and I used to laugh at how many “Sweet and Lows” he would put in his iced tea! He was a wonderful man and helped so many.
