Charles was my colleague for many years at Mark Williams Company. I will fondly remember his chess ability, his knowledge of topics ranging from obscure Korean restaurants to the internals of ATM networks, his obscure ideas about computer languages, but most of all I'll remember his open and generous spirit.

I just learned of Charles' death. I had the plasure of working with him at Mark Williams Co. in the early 80s. He was a most accomplished programmer, and generous with his time and knowledge. He will be greatly missed.
