Danny, you and I met in 7th grade and remained friends all those years. I don't think we had phone conversation that lasted less than 2hrs. How I miss those phone calls. We could bare our souls to each other. You were such a special guy, I miss you. Oh how I wish you would have called me that night. I know you are in Heaven and are at peace. I love you Danny.

The Lord bless you and keep you, Dan. The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. It's been just over a year that you've been gone from earth and are resting in the arms of our Lord. You will always be in our thoughts and hearts. There will be a glad reunion in heaven. He who promised is faithful. Easter hope, Easter truth, Easter joy. Aloha nui loa.

I'll never forget the bike rides we took to Hyde Park. Talking about art and music and love and life. Although we only dated briefly, your impact is life long. Rest in peace my friend.

Tonight Google brought me to tears as I searched for Daniel J. Patterson, Special Ed. teacher in Chicago. How shocked and saddened I was to learn Dan recently died.

Dan, I was just in England and bought a postcard of Trafalgar Square. Remember all the times we spent there while student teaching in Wales! I wrote on the card "Precious Memories" YKW (You Know Who!). I thought I'd see if I could find you. So many memories come flooding back--huddling together in Aunt Kathleen's home in Ealing Common when we didn't know how to turn on the heater!, the walks in Chicago, the trips to Miami, the time you wore blue sunscreen when we were in Sarasota. Even though we've been out of touch for a few years, you were always in my thoughts and heart. What an awesome teacher you were--so dedicated to your students. You loved Chicago. Thanks for the precious memories with your family. Rest in peace, Dan. You were one of a kind. Thanks for being so real and for our many discussions. On some things our views were complete opposite, but on many we were in sync. I'm glad you were a part of my life, and I'm thankful American Airlines afforded us many opportunities to get together. I have missed you. Rest in peace, dear Dan. God be with you, your family, friends, coworkers, and all who have known you. I'll never forge you and how we met by accident on the streets of London after student teaching!!

I really enjoyed working with Mr. Patterson at Pritzker School. He was a very friendly person, full of laughs, and a friend to me. He allways thought about what was best for the children in his room.
Rest in peace Mr. Patterson
