You are so special to me, Joanna, and I cannot fathom how hard it is for you to have lost your father. I remember meeting him in Lolo, our lunch together, and how he made those yummy meatballs. You know, every time I use oregano, I think of him? I do, because that's the first time I really heard of (or knew of) that spice being used! I know he was a very special man, and I know he meant so much to you and your sisters.
I don't know what I can say for colsolation - there probably isn't anything. But please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you, for all the holiday season. I truly pray that you and your family have a peaceful and loving Christmas together in rememberance of your father and all the good that he brought to this world.
Thank you for being my friend. With warmest wishes and love,
Julie

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.
I was a room-mate of his daughter Joanna in college, my last name then was Hunter. I met her dad once during one of his visits here in Missoula.
Take care of one another...

There is nothing like the love of a father. As a daughter, I believe it is our first love. We hold a special twinkle or light in their eyes. Now may your father's eyes twinkle in the stars above. Angie, my heart is with you and your family. Another step - another journey - together -we'll make it through.

Even though I never met Joe, I feel like I know him through his daughter, Laura. Joe's legacy is surely his loving, responsible daughters and their care for him.
