Once again, this past summer my sister and I went to Lincoln Park Zoo. After visiting the zoo, we went to RJ Grunts. I was telling my sister all of the great times I had at Players Workshop of Second City while Jo was in charge. Once she left everything changed. Hope you're having a great time in Heaven, Jo.

A couple of weeks ago I went to Lincoln Park Zoo with my twin sister. We had a hamburger at RJ Grunts. While we we there I was telling my sister, Lulu all of the great memories I had of Jo (Josephine). I was telling her that she was the BEST acting teacher I ever had. I've taken acting classes at many places. Nobody has been as good as Jo. I learned a lot while I took her acting classes. She was my first acting teacher and through the years we became nice friends. I also mentioned to my sister that Jo had a very nice daughter and son. Rest in Peace Jo ( Josephine)

Josephine was a very nice person. When I met her I didn't know who she was. I thought she was going to be part of the class/play. She was the person who encouraged me to join. I eventually found out she was the teacher. She ended up being my best acting teacher.

A couple of days ago I sent a check to the priests of Sacred Heart so that a mass could be offered for Jo... I will always remember her a a goog friend and my favorite acting teacher.

Dear Linnea, I am truly saddened by the passing of your mother, Josephine Forsberg, I have pleasant memories of talking with her and you at classes at the Player's Workshop of the Second City. She was such a dynamic personality, a true woman of the theatre. She helped so many people in the business and in other walks of life, she will live on in their work. My uncle, the late actor, Yuki Shimoda, started at the University of Chicago with the Compass Players in the 1950's and I always wanted to study acting too. I am grateful that Jo established the acting school so I had an opportunity to study acting and learn how to convey my feelings better through improv. She will truly be missed. My deepest sympathies.

Condolences to the family and also the extended family. Jo was an impassioned and inspiring teacher and director, an exceptional nurturer. She imparted skills and sprinkled that magical and transformative stardust with the best of ’em. Whatever you stayed with or went onto over the years, you had been touched and always carried the blessing of that lady’s special spirit and enthusiasm with you.

Linnea and Eric,
I just heard about Aunt Jo's passing. The last time I saw her and your dad was at Hansi's wake 10 years ago. I tried to get her on facebook but she never wrote back. How lucky we were to have Hansi and your mom in our lives- I always loved her visits and there were many of them and of course all the color she brought with her. You are in my thoughts.

Linnea & Eric, It was very sad to hear from you, Linnea that your mom had passed away. She was my first and best acting teacher I have ever had. God was good to me for having given me a wonderful teacher and friend. Had it not been for her I would not have gone into acting. She believed in my ability to act more than I did.
