Deepest Condolences from Quantum Archaeologists

Paul and I were colleagues in the Environmental Science Division at Argonne. Towards the beginning of my career at Argonne we worked together on a project. Paul was such a thoughtful and kind person to work with, and always made the younger scientists working with him feel that he had time to offer guidance. It was only later that I learned of his prominence in the fields of mathematics and physics. I looked at him in a new light then when I would periodically see him walking around the campus and have a chance to say hi. He is an example for me of a calm philosophy of life that emphasizes kindness and humility while always continuing work to understand the science of the world around us. My condolences to Paul´s family - I´m sure he´s left a wonderful legacy in all of you.
