Alice Bramlage Obituary
Mason - Alice Alma Wilkins Bramlage, 103, passed away on January 28, 2020, at The Sheridan at Mason, Mason, Ohio. Alice was predeceased by her husband Russell. She is survived by her children Maureen Bramlage, Mary Bramlage Minton, Judith Banks (Larry) Niklas, and Russell (Betsy Carlton) Bramlage; grandchildren Michelle (Donald) Dunn, Melanie (Derek) Rogers, Michael (Kambria) Minton, Erin (Jason) Skie, Daniel Patrick Laurence, and Andrew (Lindy) Laurence), and Nicholas and Alissa Bramlage; and several loving great and great-grandchildren.
A Requiem Mass will be held at St. Gertrude's Church, Madeira, at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Montgomery, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 3.
Donations may be sent to Queen City Hospice. For further information, contact Thomas-Justin Funeral Home, Cincinnati.

I first met Alice when she listed her house on Kaywood Drive for sale. I immediately fell in love with the house and Alice's pride and affection for her home was very evident. At the time I was not aware of her negotiating style or willfulness. I made an offer and she took the house off the market without ever responding. Clearly, she wasn't the negotiating type. I had unknowingly insulted her and it would take a lot to get her back to the table. Eventually I paid asking price or quite near it. That, and a letter telling her how much I already felt connected to the house, finally brought her around to selling. I do love it now as I did then. But more than that, I love Alice's devotion to her home, her strength and her spirit. It was clear from our brief acquaintance that she was a smart, no nonsense woman. I will miss knowing she is still outliving expectation and I will be extra vigilant in caring for Our house, knowing it is the only lasting gift I can give her in return for that which she gave me. My prayers to her family.
