Becky was known & respected by many during good old Banning High School days and her subsequent life. For the last few years my wife & I were fortunate to see Becky at the Madrigal's yearly gathering in Midland, Texas. During July 2010 she was a picture of health and vibrance. We are truly sadden by her death. Our prayers to the husband and children of Rebecca. An old Westsider/Eastsider from Wilmington!

Mrs. Garcia was an amazing person, a great life teacher and an even better friend. She went out of her way to treat of all her students as if they were her children. After only a few weeks of knowing her, I ceased to be "Jacob" to her and became "mijo". A woman with an incredible heart and unbreakable spirit. She has impacted my life forever and she will be dearly missed

I can still picture Becky rushing through the BUSD district hallway, seeing her beautiful smile and hearing her laugh. She is someone that so many people will always remember and thank God for having met her. I pray for the strength that the family will need during this sad time.

She is at peace now, no more pain and one day we will see her again. I remember that she always seemed to misplace things just as an excuse to come back an see us and to assist us at our most precious job, making a difference in the youth of today.
We will all miss her and i wish you and your family the very best in this time of grief.

I knew Becky when I was an instructional aide and had Andres at the "Before and After School Care" program at Lindstrom. Becky was always so kind and cheerful. Her children were a joy to work with. I've thought of them often through the years and wondered how they were all doing. I'm so sorry to hear of this and having lost my own father I know the heartache. My prayers and sincerest condolences are with the family. God Bless...

There are no words to express the great sorrow and void we feel in our hearts. My Aunt Becky was more like an older sister to me than an Aunt. I am sure that Cynthia and Mary remember the concerts we use to attend as teenagers with her. There were many trips to the drive-in where all of us kids would squeeze into a car and be driven there by Aunt Becky. She always made sure that we had plenty of goodies and it was always so much fun. I remember the many shopping excursions she and I would make to the LA Garment District so that she could buy her double-knit suits to wear to work. Most of all I remember all the parties we had where Aunt Becky’s strawberry fluff was always served and remember rolling all those dozens of taquitos that we would make for those many parties. Those were the days! She was always her own woman and always followed her heart. I remember her great joy and happiness when she got married to Uncle Cruz. She had that same joy and happiness when she had Andres and Christina. The three of you were what made her life complete. She is now up in heaven with Grandma, my mom and dad and all of the others that have left before her. I am sure that she is already up there organizing and making strawberry fluff and rolling those taquitos that everyone loved so much. God’s blessings go to all of our family for strength during this sorrowful time. Uncle Cruz, Andres and Christina know that you are always embraced by all of us and we are here for you and walk with you not just now but always. There are many wonderful things about our family but the best thing is that we always hold each other up when it is needed.
God bless us all now and forever.
Aunt Becky you will greatly be missed but never forgotten!
With all of our love.

My sincerest condolences to Cruz, Christina, and Andres…your wife/mother will always hold a special place in my heart. Becky and my mom were the best of friends and their friendship has stood the test of time. I was especially touched by Becky as she checked in on my mom, took her to lunch, and spent time with her while our family grieved the loss of my Tia Gloria. For that and so much more, I will forever be grateful and will miss her tremendously. I will miss her on our annual vacation to Texas and I will miss her coming over with pastries too! Thank you for sharing her with us…she is in better place now.

I think Becky probably knew me before I was even born. The McKennas were part of our family forever I think. We were neighbors in Wilmington and then closer than family when my Tia Fannie and Tio Chato were married. I remember Becky being her own woman. She did not feel rushed to get married and have children. She had too many other things she wanted to do first. Then she was blessed with Cruz, Andres and Christina. I am so glad I got to see her at Marissa's shower and wedding. Becky was always the same. Funny and full of love. I have a picture of Becky, Annie and Gloria when they were in their teens framed in my livingroom. She looks the same except she had long hair. There is a void in our family now, but now Becky is with Gloria and all the other members of our family that have gone before us. I express my condolences to Cruz and the family and know that you are in my prayers. Becky was loved and will be greatly missed. Love, Mary Enriquez

Becky and I go way back to the Wilmington Park days, Wilmington Jr. Hi., and Banning Hi. (S'62). While we were in school, we saw each other almost daily. Since the Banning days, I regret to say that I have not seen her. Even though I have not seen her in almost 50 years, I'll miss her.
My sincerest condolences to her families, the Garcia's and McKenna's.
