Alice BRITT Obituary

GLOUCESTER - Alice Josephine Britt, 83, died Sept. 30, 2010, at her home.
Alice was a native of Gloucester, born Sept. 5, 1927, to the late Warner and Mamie West. She enjoyed playing dominos and bingo and watching western shows. She love to cook and bake for her family.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Johnny Green and Herbert Britt; daughter, Sheila Green; sons, Randy Green and Jimmy Green; sisters, Nannie P. Jenkins and Joyce West; brothers, William West, Warner West Jr., Elwood West and Alfred West.
She is survived by her daughters, Jean South and husband, Richard, Judy Britt and husband, Wade, Wanda Cupec and husband, Ronald; son, William Gene Green; sisters, Lilly M. Holloway, Mamie L. Smith, Grace G. Smith, Ann Cecil, Elsie French and Juanita Bristow; 11 grandchildren and
16 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Gloucester Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

Judy, Wanda, Wade, Cuey (and families)--I was just talking about Aunt Alice the other day and those 3 layer cakes that she used to make for us. She was good to us and I loved her with all my heart. I will be thinking about all of you.
