LOOKABAUGH, Lawrence L. "Larry" 84 of Springfield passed away June 11, 2017. He was born in Springfield on March 18, 1933 to John and Irene (Bayne) Lookabaugh. Larry was a building contractor and brick mason his entire life. Though self-employed most of his career, he built many homes in Holiday Valley for Rona Homes and most recently retired from Spring, Inc. teaching families to help build their own homes. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ruth Holland, brothers John, Jim, Don and Roger. Larry is survived by his children Mark (Jenny), Steve (Angie), Carol (Scott) Allen, James, and Tom (Rita); grandchildren Matthew (Sarah), Kevin (Hali), Jordan (Venessa), Michael Allen, Cameron, "favorite granddaughter" Sarah (Justin) Deel, Spencer and Nathan; his very special sister Margaret and brother-in-law, Chuck DeButy; great-granddaughters McKenna, Aubrey and Avery; numerous nieces and nephews and the mother of his children, Marilyn Bowers. Our family would like to express our gratitude to close friends and caregivers who provided so much support and love to our Dad these past seven weeks and to Community Mercy Hospice. In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions in Larry's name to a Hospice care of their choice. There will be a memorial gathering at Littleton & Rue Funeral Home on Friday, June 16th from 5-8 p.m. Private inurnment will be held at Ferncliff Cemetery on Saturday morning.

Condolences to the family of a long-time acquaintance. I mostly remember Larry in his youth and as a life-guard at Lakewood Beach.
I'm praying for God's grace to be upon all family members.
