AGE: 76 • Marco Island, FL formerly of Wilmington, DE
Kenneth T. "Cat" Catalina was born on March 7, 1940 to Stephen L. and Bertha Catalina. He died suddenly at his home in Marco Island, FL on September 2, 2016. Ken graduated from Brown Vocational High School in 1958. He was retired from the Carpenter's Local Union 626. He was an exceptional Master Carpenter.
Kenny moved to Marco Island, FL in July 1999 soon after retiring from the Local. His house in Marco Island is a testament to his master carpentry skills, artistry and creativity. In addition to his four children, Kenny loved to cook (and eat), and was a very good cook. He loved baseball, he loved playing card games, and he loved cats and animals in general. He was a good host to all who visited him in Florida. You were guaranteed to have a good time at Ken's place while relaxing by his beautiful pool with a drink in hand and good food to "nosh" on.
Kenny was pre-deceased by his parents, Stephen and Bertha; his brother, Joseph; and his sister, Celeste Zannino. He is survived by his four children: Nicole (Gary Giannattasio), Victor, Kenneth, Jr., and Joseph; and their mother, his former wife, Nancy (Cheseroni). He is also survived by his brother Stephen, Jr., and his wife, Mary Ann (Paoli); his niece and nephews: Maria, Stephen, III (Tressa), Dante (Maureen), their children, and his many cousins. He is also survived by his best friends from childhood, brothers, Nello and Joe Joe Paoli, and many more.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Saturday, October 8 from 9:00-10:30AM, immediately followed by a remembrance service.
Flowers are welcome, however donations in memory of Kenny may be made to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Drive, Wilmington, DE 19804 (faithfulfriends.us) or the Delaware Humane Society, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801 (dehumane.org).

So loving, funny and handsome Kenny was. We looked forward to his phone calls to flatter us and make us laugh, always inviting us to come for a visit. So caring and kind. Condolences to his family. He is up in Heaven now with our Jamie cooking for all the Angels. ❤

Met Kenny as a apprentice carpenter 1965 and we interacted for 35 years ,its hard to explain ,but i always felt a sense of joy ,whenever in his company .I thought of him as a friend and hope he saw me that way . Condolences to his family ....John DiCamilla
